Just as we were going to press we learned that Representative Byron Rushing (D-Boston) will be testifying before the Joint Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities about his bill, H.125, which would allow illegal aliens access to all state programs and services. The bill prohibits any agency or employee from denying “any assistance, benefit, payment, service, or participation in any program or activity on the basis of alienage or immigration status, except as required by federal law … .” Program, project or activity “shall include, but not be limited to, education or training, employment, health, welfare, rehabilitation, housing or other services … .”
Talk about an illegal alien magnet!
Co-sponsors of this atrocious bill include Rep. Jay Livingstone (D-Boston), Rep. Marjorie Decker (D-Cambridge), Rep. David Rogers (D-Cambridge), Rep. Ruth Balser (D-Newton), Rep. Kay Kahn (D-Newton), Rep. Peter Kocot (D-Northampton), Rep. Frank Moran (D-Lawrence), Rep. Denise Provost (D-Somerville), Rep. Marcos Devers (D-Lawrence), Sen. James Eldridge (D-Acton), Rep. Benjamin Swan (D-Springfield), Rep. Sean Garballey (D-Arlington), Rep. Christine Barber (D-Somerville), Rep. Jonathan Hecht (D-Watertown), Rep. Tricia Farley-Bouvier (D-Pittsfield) and Rep. Timothy Toomey, Jr (D-Cambridge).
Let’s kill this bill before it goes any farther. If any of these legislators are yours, call them and tell them H.125 is a bad idea.
