Author and political consultant Naomi Wolf details in her book, “The End of America,” there are 10 steps that would-be tyrants on the left or the right always take when they’re seeking to close down an open society. In Mussolini’s Italy, Nazi Germany, East Germany in the ‘50s, China in the ‘80s, etc., “What you see is the same 10 steps, always. It’s not a secret.” Wolf also feels it’s not a partisan issue, as the 10 steps were underway under Bush and progressed further under Obama.
“Under the guise of a medical pandemic, all of the steps — but especially step 10, the suspension of the rule of law and the introduction of the emergency measures — have been achieved.” Wolf feels we are now at step 10 and sounds the alarm, stating “History shows there’s a very narrow window in which it’s safe to fight back against tyranny, when we’re this late in the process. Once the rule of law is suspended, once there are emergency measures, citizens have no recourse. [Once] the courts are corrupted and you can’t file a lawsuit, that’s really it. History has shown this over and over.” Wolf says, “shining a light on it” is our last hope.”1
Recently on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight, an immigrant restaurant owner from Michigan, Marlena Pavlos-Hackney, gave her battle cry to Americans to “stand up now” after a judge, she claims, unconstitutionally ordered her to close her business for “not following the rules.”
According to Michigan’s WTVB a.m., Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel noted Pavlos-Hackney “has continued to willfully violate the state’s food laws, public health orders and a court-ordered temporary restraining order.”2 In the interview, Pavlos-Hackney urged “we the people, small business owners, we have to fight. Stand up and fight for your freedom before it’s going to be taken away. What we see right now in this country is unacceptable. Please stand up, America, now is the time.”
In Israel, the Green Passport was recently launched for those who have had two doses of a coronavirus vaccine. Special privileges are being given to get more people taking the vaccine, and aid in reopening the economy. Though shops, malls and museums are open to all, the Green Passport confers exclusive access to restricted sites like hotels, gyms, sporting and cultural events, and theaters. Pass-holders are not required to follow COVID-19 safety restrictions such as going into isolation if coming into contact with a confirmed, infected patient or after international travel from COVID-19 “red zone” countries.”3
Israeli health advisor and politician Ilana Rachel Daniel is making an impassioned plea to the world, bringing attention to civil rights violations, as a result of the Green Passport. “They have essentially overnight created a second-class citizenry. A true medical apartheid that is disallowing law-abiding, healthy, tax-paying citizens from entering their places of culture. People have been kicked out of their choirs, their gyms,” Daniel said. “There is no other option than to give every fiber of energy and strength into battling this.”4
