SUMMARY:Republican Joe Finn - State Representative Campaign Kick Off
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n14th Essex District \nAmesbury | Boxford | Groveland | North Andover | West Newbury\n\n\n\n\n\n\nState Representative Campaign Kick Off \nTuesday\, June 7\, 6pm – 8pm \nChina Blossom \n946 Osgood Street\, North Andover\, MA 01845\n\n\n\nDear Friend\,\nIt’s getting harder than ever for working families to make ends meet in the Merrimack Valley. Out of touch politicians on Beacon Hill impose one size fits all policies from on high that don’t work for our neighborhoods. Inflation is cutting into our savings at the same time it’s driving up costs at breakneck speed. Gasoline costs almost $5 a gallon and continues to rise\, setting new records each and every day. When Beacon Hill leaders are confronted with these issues\, they shrug\, obfuscate\, and deflect. This is unacceptable. \nNow more than ever\, our communities need bold and unafraid leadership at the State House. Now more than ever\, the working families of this district need a voice willing to stand up for their needs. Now more than ever\, we need representation that is unafraid to stand up to the Beacon Hill echo chamber and offer real solutions to the problems we actually face. \nThat is why I am proud to announce I am officially running for State Representative in the new 14th Essex district\, which has now been redistricted to include Amesbury (Precincts 1 and 6)\, Boxford (Precincts 2 and 3)\, all of Groveland\, North Andover (Precincts 1 – 6)\, and all of West Newbury. Prior to this process\, many of you may have been previously represented by Republican State Representatives Lenny Mirra and James Kelcourse. While Beacon Hill Democrats may have shifted their districts elsewhere\, I vow to continue their work advocating for reform of our government and bringing a fiscally responsible voice to Beacon Hill for the people of this district. \nFor those of you who don’t know me yet\, my name is Joe Finn. I’m a longtime resident of the town of North Andover\, where my wife Nancy and I raised our three boys over the last twenty-two years. Recently retired\, I’ve spent over thirty years as a public servant\, working as the area’s top law enforcement official for the Office of the Postal Inspector General where I had executive level experience in leading and managing large staffs\, administering complex budgets\, chairing committees\, and policy making. \nLike most people\, I never thought I’d ever get involved in politics. I first got engaged at the local level when I saw out of touch officials pushing large\, high-density developments on neighborhoods in my town where they did not fit and against the wishes of neighbors and abutters. I see this same disconnect on Beacon Hill\, where leaders continue to talk about everything except the issues that people in Massachusetts are actually facing. This is why I am stepping up to run and represent you on Beacon Hill. \nAs your State Representative\, I will work full-time to increase the amount of local aid to our towns\, getting your hard-earned tax dollars out of the wasteful Beacon Hill machine and back to where they will fund services that most matter in your lives; funding schools\, police departments\, fire departments\, and other public works\, while putting downward pressure on local property tax rates. \nAs your State Representative\, I will work to bring MORE zoning decision-making power back to our local communities and give residents increased ability to fight against overdevelopment that is proliferating across the area. \nAs your State Representative\, I will fight to keep taxes low for hard working families and small businesses; to eliminate the reckless spending which is causing runaway inflation; to support our first responders; and to always stand up for YOU\, the hardworking taxpaying families of our state. \nOn Tuesday\, June 7th my campaign committee will be hosting our official CAMPAIGN KICKOFF at China Blossom\, 946 Osgood Street\, at 6:00 p.m. I hope you will consider joining us as we begin the campaign to restore sanity on Beacon Hill. \nTogether\, I know we can add a voice for common sense government back to the halls of Beacon Hill. I hope to see you at the Kick-Off! \nSincerely\, \nJoe Finn \nfinnforstaterep@gmail.com \nwww.electjoefinn.com \nCell: (978) 697-5797
