14 Mass Republicans Re-Elected, 10 Newbies Join the Ranks of Local Officials

Massachusetts Republicans Celebrate Local Victories Across the Commonwealth

BOSTON, MA – November 5, 2025 — The Massachusetts Republican Party is celebrating strong results from last night’s municipal elections. Republican candidates notched wins up and down the ballot, signaling renewed energy and growth for two-party government across the Commonwealth.

“From city halls to school committees, Massachusetts Republicans continue to grow the party from the ground up,” said Amy Carnevale, Chair of the Massachusetts Republican Party.

Republicans celebrated the re-election of several proven leaders, including:

·    Shaunna O’Connell, Mayor of Taunton

·    Todd Taylor, Chelsea City Councilor

·    Mark Bodanza and Thomas Ardinger, Leominster City Councilors

·    Rick Coughlin & Andrew Donovan, Weymouth Town Councilors

·    Jeffrey Thompson, Brockton City Councilor

·    Jay DiLisio, Jonathan Tavares & Michael Angelo, Attleboro City Councilors

·    Cecelia Calabrese, Agawam City Councilor

·    Dan Allie, Westfield City Councilor

·    Linda Vacon, Holyoke City Councilor

 

The night also saw the election of a new wave of Republican voices, including:

·    Christopher Peckham, Fall River City Council

·    Jaclyn Corriveau, Peabody City Council

·    Will Crocker, Barnstable Town Council

·    Sean Powers, Braintree Light Board

 

In addition, Republican-backed candidates earned important victories on several school committees, including:

·    Marc Kurzberg, Braintree School Committee

·    Maura Ryan-Ciardiello, Haverhill School Committee

·    James Poore & James Stors, Attleboro School Committee

·    Stephen Pina, Brockton School Committee

·    Ashley Dickerman, Weymouth School Committee

·    Kathleen Roy, Re-elected to Worcester School Committee
