Dawson Myers ran afoul of the draconian Massachusetts gun laws imposed on law-abiding citizens by gun-hater Governor Maura Healey.
Coming from Texas where purchasing any firearm with a valid driver’s license is permitted, Dawson traveled to Massachusetts for a summer job and was arrested and charged with multiple felonies for purportedly violating Massachusetts’ law because he did not have a valid Massachusetts gun license.
Richard Chambers, Jr. successfully got the charges dropped!
He stated, “It was NOT easy.”
A letter received from Dawson’s father tells the rest of the story:
“I wanted to follow up and let you know that, with your help and the assistance of your office, Dawson Myers was able to earn another National Championship title in 2026.
Because Dawson was able to receive his firearm back in time for the National Championship and attend the event in San Antonio in March 2026, your efforts played an important part in helping him and his team achieve this goal. You were a tremendous help, and I wanted to sincerely thank you again and let you know that the Lindenwood Shotgun Sports Team earned the Division I National Championship this year.
As Dawson’s father, it was important to me that you knew how much your support contributed to helping him reach this achievement.
Best regards,
Mark Myers”
