Mike Minogue Statement on the Election: “This Movement Is Just Getting Started”

Candidate thanks supporters and congratulates Governor Healey, vowing to keep fighting for working families

BURLINGTON, Mass. — Candidate for governor Mike Minogue today congratulated Governor Maura Healey and thanked the thousands of volunteers, supporters, and voters who powered his campaign across the Commonwealth.

“Tonight, the people of Massachusetts have spoken, and I respect their decision,” said Minogue. “I called Governor Healey to congratulate her. Our differences in this race were real, but we all want what is best for Massachusetts, and I wish her well.”

Minogue, a first-time candidate and CEO who built his own company, ran as an outsider on a promise to take on what he calls a one-party system that works for some but not all. He campaigned door to door and at events across the Commonwealth, and said it was a privilege to hear voters’ stories along the way.

“I’ve never been involved in politics, but I can tell you this: we had fun, and we built something that matters,” said Minogue. “I’m humbled by the support that came in from across the political divide. We started this campaign with a simple idea: that Massachusetts should work for everyone. That idea didn’t lose tonight.”

A Movement That Doesn’t End Tonight

Minogue said the issues at the heart of his campaign remain, and he will keep working on them.

“Massachusetts families are still struggling with the cost of living. They still deserve accountability, affordability, opportunity, and safe communities,” said Minogue. “The people who stood up in this campaign, many of them for the very first time, showed that voters are ready for change. I will keep fighting for an audit of the state legislature, lower energy costs, and a government that works for the people, not the insiders.”

Thank You

“To every volunteer who knocked on a door, made a call, took a yard sign, or brought five friends: thank you. You gave everything you had,” said Minogue. “To everyone who supported another candidate, or was tired of the political elite working against them, or got involved for the first time: you are part of this movement, and it is not going away.”

“Anybody can dream big. The execution, the work, and the attention to detail don’t stop tonight. Thank you, and God bless Massachusetts.”
