IN GREATER BOSTON

In April of 2023, the high grossing Hollywood horror film Nefarious was released in theaters nation-wide. It is a psychological thriller about demonic possession, which exposes the Luciferian obsession and diabolic delight in the murder of pre-born children.

What makes this movie unique is its Catholic understanding and realistic presentation of preternatural evil. Both of the two directors, Cary Solomon and Chuck Konzelman, are Catholic. Solomon is a convert to the Faith.

One exorcist, Father Carlos Martins, commented, “I can say, without hesitation, that it is the best movie portraying demonic possession ever produced,” while film critic John Zmirak, of The Stream, called Nefarious “the best movie I’ve seen in years.”

Prior to Nefarious, Solomon and Konzelman were best known for the pro-life themed, 2019 film Unplanned, about the conversion of Planned Parenthood worker Abby Johnson to the movement to defend the right to life .

Two local Catholic organizations, Catholic Quest and the Boston Church Militant Resistance, have arranged for special screenings of Nefarious in Greater Boston.

The first showing will be on Saturday, December 2nd, at 10 am, at the West Newton Cinema, at 1296 Washington Street in West Newton.

There will be two additional showings, each at 1 pm, on Saturday, January 6th and on Sunday, January 7th, both at Saint William’s Lower Church, at 1351 Main Street in Tewksbury.

Please do not miss this rare opportunity to experience a revealing work of Catholic inspired cinematic art. It is so unusual, today, to see a product of the American film industry which is informed by a Catholic ethos and which conveys a Catholic understanding of spiritual reality.

Thank you.
