| Burlington, MA JUNE 4, 2026 – Today, Mike Kennealy stood side-by-side with Mike Minogue to offer his full support to his campaign for governor. Kennealy and Minogue spoke to a packed room of over one hundred grassroots supporters at the Minogue for Governor campaign headquarters in Burlington.
“Mike Minogue is someone who believes in a call to service. In his professional career, he grew a business that employed thousands of people and served hundreds of thousands of patients. He knows, like we all do, that Maura Healey has Massachusetts last in the nation in job growth and headed in the wrong direction. This election is too important to the future of our state, and Mike Minogue is the proven job creator and innovator with a record and passion for service who can defeat Maura Healey,” said Kennealy.
“In the 40 days since the convention, Brian Shortsleeve has chosen to attack the grassroots, referring to delegates as ‘insiders,’ ‘a clown show,’ and ‘a tiny group of people with a record of picking losers.’ This is a disingenuous flip-flop from the admiration Shortsleeve claimed to have for delegates during caucus season. Shortsleeve has run an overwhelmingly negative and dishonest campaign – including repeated, false attacks about my public service under a Republican Governor, as well as wildly changing explanations for his past political donations and party affiliations. Shortsleeve’s sole public service experience in Massachusetts – managing the MBTA for two years a decade ago – is not compelling. Shortsleeve has a decision to make about whether to continue his campaign given the lack of public support for his candidacy, but whatever his choice, Mike Minogue will be the 2026 Republican nominee for Governor.
