MASS. GOV: YOU WILL COMPLY AND CHANGE YOUR ZONING LAWS OR I WILL DENY YOU AIDE

NOTES BETWEEN PRINTED EDITIONS:

EDITOR’S NOTE: Radical Democrat Lesbian Governor Maura Hold-it Healey has made it clear: communities MUST change their zoning, or she will withhold state aide to them and crush them like bugs.  But beware, it’s all another game.

Healey has been doing her best to suck up all the available housing in Massachusetts and fill them with illegal aliens. She’s public housing, section 8 taxpayer-subsidized housing, she’s filled hotels, she’s filled motels, she’s filled military housing, she’s filled shelters, she’s converted public facilities, and she’s used private and public facilities to pack in AS MANY ILLEGAL ALIENS as she possibly can (on her way to a speculated 1 million illegals, and spending a confirmed nearly $1 billion this year, and $1 billion next year on just basics alone, not counting education, medical, etc.).  Now, as you read the news story from the State House New Service below, keep in mind: what would happen if suddenly all of the estimated 500,000 illegals were to suddenly vacate Massachusetts? Can you imagine the housing stock and apartments available to students, legal residents, veterans, and other taxpayers?  Just keep that in mind as she seeks to re-define every town in the state, to pack in as many people as possible, and threaten taxpayers all along the way.

Guv Hopes Milton Voters Say “Yes” To Multifamily Zoning Plan

Milton voters will head to the polls a day later than originally planned for a referendum on whether to comply with a state zoning reform law, and Gov. Maura Healey hopes they’ll fill in the bubble for “yes.”

On the ballot is a high-stakes vote on a zoning plan that would clear the way for more development of multifamily housing, which supporters — including Healey — contend is needed to address a statewide lack of affordable homes that is stifling economic growth and pushing residents to leave.

Milton Town Meeting approved the new plan in December, but opponents who see more development as harmful to the suburb pushed for a referendum at the ballot box.

“My message to voters is that if you want your kids to be able to afford to live here in Massachusetts, if you want to be able to continue to live in Massachusetts as you get older, if you want our companies and our businesses growing and expanding, we need housing across the state, and we need communities like Milton and communities across the state to do what needs doing in terms of creating more housing opportunities,” Healey told reporters Monday.

Spiking the zoning plan could put Milton out of compliance with a 2021 state law, often referred to as the MBTA Communities Act, requiring cities and towns served by the T to zone for more multifamily housing.

Healey and other state officials have warned for months that municipalities could lose state funding if they fail to follow the law, and the governor on Monday reiterated that threat.

“Our administration has been clear that communities that fail to comply with the MBTA Communities Act will not be receiving state funding,” she said.

Town officials secured a court’s approval to postpone the special election by one day due to the inclement weather forecast for Tuesday.

  1. Perhaps Milton doesn’t have a fire, police or school department that could take in thousands of more citizens. The citizen voters of Milton voted not to build these apartments. They have a right to do that in a democracy .State leaders don’t like the vote so they are going to go against the voters wishes. Sounds very totalitarian. Campbell should work to improve her offices consumer rights division. Massachusetts once had the best consumer rights office in the nation. Now that office is just about the worst in the nation. Low voter turnout continues to give us agenda based politicians who do a very poor job.
