Mass. Gov. Candidate Shortsleeve Calls for
Healey to Support Police and ICE Cooperation
MASS. DEMOCRAT GOV. MAURA HEALY GIVES GRANT REWARD$ TO ICE PROTESTERS!
BOSTON – Marine Corps Veteran Brian Shortsleeve, Republican candidate for governor, called upon Democrat Governor Maura Healey to publicly support the work U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is doing to get criminal illegal immigrants off the streets of Massachusetts and stop funding the organizations interfering with enforcement of our laws.
On May 21st, the Healey administration awarded $500,000 in Environmental Justice Grants. One $50,000 grant was to Neighbor to Neighbor, a nonprofit that according to Politico Playbook Massachusetts sent members to the scene of the recent Worcester ICE operation to cause massive disruptions.
“Governor Healey is using our tax dollars to fund the organizations protesting in Worcester that are endangering lives. I call upon her to cancel the grant funding,” said Shortsleeve. “There is no place for politics when it comes to public safety. As the next governor, I will require cooperation between our police and federal law enforcement to remove dangerous illegal immigrants off of our streets.”
GreenRoots also received a grant for $75,000. According to the Healey press release: “The grant is vital as funding for environmental justice organizations in Sanctuary Cities is decreasing.”
“Healey can pretend Massachusetts is not a sanctuary state, but she is spending taxpayer dollars to support what her office calls “sanctuary cities” and organizations that are actively interfering with law enforcement’s duty to keep our communities safe from criminals,” said Shortsleeve. “You don’t help the environment by funding sanctuary cities.”
The Mass Republicans should have some tv ads on. A good ad would simply state, Mr. and Mrs. Massachusetts taxpayer, when was the last time you heard your governor expressing concern for you?
I do not support Gov Healey’s backing of non-profits that fight ICE removal of illegals. I am glad you posted this article. How do we spread the word and get out of here???
