BOSTON GLOBE CELEBRATES
MOCKERY OF CATHOLICS,
ATTEMPTS TO SUPPRESS FREE SPEECH
In two propaganda pieces in the last three days, The Boston Globe promoted and celebrated the mockery of Catholics, and applauded attempts to suppress their free speech, freedom of assembly and free exercise of religion.
On November 2nd, the Globe published a fawning puff piece on the Boston Clown Music Parade, an anti-Catholic hate group which reporter Vivi Smilgius said was going to “drown out” and “wreak havoc to disrupt” the Men’s March to Abolish Abortion, by playing “Pop Goes the Weasel” while Catholics recite the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In a second article on November 4th, which plunged to new depths in biased and unprofessional journalism, Globe reporter John Hilliard, predictably, followed the traditional Globe playbook on pro-life events, by giving more coverage to a handful of counter protesters than to hundreds of Catholic men who marched in support of the right to life in Boston yesterday.
Of the thirty-four sentences in Hilliard’s story, only twelve were devoted to the Men’s March, while fourteen described the actions of the disrupters. Another eight sentences were about two men, out of three hundred, who may or may not have been affiliated with a group called the Patriot Front.
Of the four photographs which accompanied the story, three contained images of the counter protesters and one was of two men standing peacefully, who were identified by the Globe caption as members of an extremist group.
The Catholic Action League Executive Director C. J. Doyle made the following comment: “It is clear that reporter John Hilliard went hunting at the Men’s March, looking to discredit marchers by finding someone or something to taint them with extremism.
Unlike peaceful marchers who wear a certain logo on their caps, abortion fanatics who attempt to disrupt a pro-life event, interfere in the exercise of constitutional rights by law abiding Americans, and try to suppress free speech, are not, however, in moral universe of the Globe’s John Hilliard, dangerous extremists.
The argument can be made that reporter Vivi Smilgius, an Emerson College undergraduate, actually incited extremists to violate the constitutional rights of Catholics by her cheerleading coverage of the Boston Clown Music Parade.
Militants who harass Christians engaged in public prayer are bigots, haters and totalitarian thugs, and ought to be regarded as such. The Boston Clown Music Parade exists to express contempt for Christians and impede them in the exercise of their constitutionally protected, First Amendment rights.
Cardinal Sean O’Malley ought to remind Mayor Michelle Wu that Catholics have the same rights as other American citizens, including the right to march through the streets of Boston without intimidation, interference and disruption
by left wing hate groups.”
You won’t hear any outrage from Cardinal O’Malley. He and all of the other U.S. Cardinals and Bishops are too deep into the DemocRAT Party/Crooked Joe Biden Illegal Immigrant Catholic Charities Taxpayer-Funded Grift Machine generating $Billions–

The Globe is an extremely biased paper. Its owner spent so much effort in getting Tom Yawkey’s name erased from Boston history. In Boston, the North and south shores and Metro West there are Yawkey medical facilities that help people of every background. In the Roxbury section there is a huge Yawkey Boys and Girls Club. I don’t see any John Henry facilities helping others in the Boston Area.
