No Faithful Catholic Should Ever Contribute to the second collection to Support the Catholic Campaign for Human Development

Once a year, every Catholic parish in America has a second collection to support the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.

No faithful Catholic should ever contribute to it. No sane person should ever contribute to it.

Michael Hichborn and the Lepanto Institute do excellent and outstanding work. Their recent revelations about the Catholic Campaign for Human Development giving millions of dollars to abortion advocates are an example of that, and they are to be commended for exposing it.

When it comes to the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, this is nothing new however.

Fifty years ago, in the 1970’s, the Campaign helped fund a voter registration drive organized by New York Congresswoman Bella Abzug. Remember Bella? Nominal Democrat, actual Communist!

At churches which celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass—and therefore attract a more conservative and better informed congregation—no one puts anything in the basket for the Campaign for Human Development.

Sadly, that is not the case in most parishes.

The Campaign for Human Development needs to be boycotted by Catholics. Pro-Life Catholics have a particular obligation to oppose this toxic organization.
