In mid-August, President Trump announced the brokering of a peace treaty between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

This landmark agreement marks the first time in over two decades that Israel and an Arab nation have agreed to establish diplomatic relations, and the first time since the 1979 Israel-Egypt Peace Accords that an American president has personally participated in negotiations throughout the entire process.

The deal will formalize ties between the two most innovative, cosmopolitan, and modern nations in the Middle East.

President Trump noted that, given the new status of the United States as energy-independent, our nation no longer has a vested economic interest in the oil-rich Middle East, and he initiated and procured this peace treaty solely for altruistic, humanitarian reasons.

President Trump, who moved the United States Embassy to Jerusalem, recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, canceled the lethal Iran nuclear deal, and overall elevated the U.S,-Israel relations to unprecedented heights, has demonstrated once again that he is the most pro-Israel president in history.

This peace treaty also enhances the security of Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East.

As a result of his extraordinary and successful brokering of the Israel-UAE Peace Treaty, President Trump has paved the way for other Arab/Muslim nations to follow suit, thus ushering in a new era of peace, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East.

On behalf of the Massachusetts Republican Jewish Committee, we are proud to be among the first to recommend President Donald J. Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. ♦
