Mass. Probate Court Horrors – Update: Lawyers Send Another “Extortion” Letter (for > $410K) to Daughter of Six Million Dollar Man

UPDATE, AUGUST 27, 2021 – And so it continues, the financial and emotional torture of Massachusetts Probate Court whistleblower Lisa Siegel Belanger.

Can you imagine having a judge order you to pay more than $410K in lawyers fees, but refuse to let you see the billing details, the invoice, anything used to construct those “fees?”

Lisa sent out a Tweet today in response to yet another letter she received from certain lawyers involved in her father’s estate. Her father, Marvin Siegel died after being “snatched” by the probate court and placed into near isolation from certain family members. Indeed, Lisa was fined by one probate court judge for visiting her sick father in the hospital. Yes, it’s that bad.

We’ve reported extensively on Marvin Siegel, his taking, like so many other seniors, and the torment and financial drain upon family members. In this case, Marvin had a  $6 million estate on the line. Lawyers engaged in extensive billing against his estate, draining millions. Indeed, one prominent Boston attorney, Marsha Kazarosian, a member of the Mass. Board of Bar Overseers and a multiple political appointee of Gov. Charlie Baker billed hundreds of thousands of dollars against Marvin’s accounts. Billing which Lisa highly protested and fought against repeatedly

But, jumping forward to today, Lisa Tweeted and sent out notes to the public and the press about the latest assault on her by certain lawyers. She also sent “formal reporting of new & compounding criminal extortion by John Mirick and Burns Levinson to Mass. Attorney General Maura Healey.

Lisa included the letter received by Mirick. In summary, the letter says Lisa is to hand over “$131,220.00 for Attorney Lisa M. Cukier’s attorney’s fees and expenses.” It also demands $278,907.63 in fees for Attorney Patricia Keane Martin.

Mirick “invites” Lisa to “assign a portion of your [pending] inheritance” or else.

The or else includes untold fees and legal penalties to be heaped down on Lisa, including contempt charges which could be landed on her from the courts.

For new readers who may not be familiar with the magical “$131,220.00” number, it’s the amount one probate judge imposed upon Lisa, on the eve of his retirement. He conditioned that Lisa was not to receive a copy of the details of the bills from Cukier, but simply make the payment.

That’s right, Lisa is to have no copies of the billing details, she can make no copies, and she could only view them under guard, with no electronics to make copies, etc. Yes, welcome to Massachusetts.

Lisa’s reply to today’s letter: “extortion” is what she terms it. And she sent out a Tweet under her “Lisa S. Belanger, Attorney Whistleblower” account calling attorney Mirick’s letter “pure thuggery.” She explained how “they won’t provide me a copy of the invoice…”

Cukier’s claim is that she had to incur billable expenses to defend her client, John Savanovich against Lisa wanting to represent John in court. Lisa’s retort, in part states “Here’s how stupid these pathetic cockroaches are: the ‘order’ is completely invalid. I am NOT a party to the matter of John Savanovich. They have NO jurisdiction over me. F**en morons. John Mirick of @MirickOConnell must have gotten his bar cad from a box of Crackerjacks.”

We’ll continue to post updates each and every time Lisa or any attorney provides us with additional whistleblowing information about the probate court.

  1. Thank you for helping to expose everything that has happened to Attorney Belanger’s father, John S, and now to your publication and to Netflix.
Not to excuse this in any way, but I should mention that this here is standard Impoundment procedure in Massachusetts. I learned this the most painful way when I went to the Middlesex Probate and Family court, and asked to see the entire court docket regarding my mother. They put a folder on the counter and I said, “The impounded filings too please”
The folder was just as thick. It included a Roger’s hearing for Antipsychotic administration, the appointing of the public pretender, and the Judge’s casual order to have the Guardian, and the enabling attorney paid from my mother’s estate

    1. It’s all very “legal” how they administer mind-altering drugs, and bill one another out of their captive’s bank accounts/estate/properties, etc. And, the “public pretender” is just that – folks who know what to do, how to do it, and how to make incredible sums doing it. Belanger has repeatedly used the term RICO, but if you publish the name of a person, the cabal tries to use their own corrupt courts to sue you into oblivion (hence the edit of one last name in your posting, to just the last initial. We had it online and in print for about a year. Law enforcement doesn’t care in this state. Too busy suing Trump is how the attorney general spent her time, and turning a blind eye to seniors and their families being emotionally tortured and financially rapes. We’ve since printed several stories, but, we did agree not to re-post the one you mention, which Netflix did a piece on. Others have it posted. We’ve simply agreed to Netflix and the various 11 sued parties that we had done our year of time, we put it out there, and we’ll move on now. Let others do what they will. We can’t help that one situation. And, we have done so, printing on others similarly screwed.)
