Dear All,
I am retired after thirty years teaching in the MA public schools.
This take-over has been going on for a very long time. It’s horrible. I once had a department chair tell me not to teach about the Rape of Nanking, because it would bias some students against the Japanese in a forthcoming class debate about the morality of dropping the atomic bomb. Furthermore, it is not limited to history.
Our public schools have become thoroughly propagandist. Students are “re-educated” to reject many religious and moral teachings of their parents.
Our kids graduated with the ability to think, because we worked very hard to teach them to introduce opposing viewpoints, with evidence, into their classrooms. As a result, all of them were either reprimanded or sent home (at the very high school where I was teaching).
