Inside Political Baseball – MassGOP Loses Political Director, Finance Director

by Lonnie Brennan

Just an update: In case you missed it, the MassGOP no longer has a political director.

Mark Steffan, who held the position of political director – briefly it seems – has departed the organization. He’s now working for Mike Keneally who is running for Mass. Gov.

Mike is the guy who got booed out of a Cape Cod event when he tried to explain away why he:
DID NOT VOTE FOR PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP against HILLARY CLINTON.
DID NOT VOTE FOR PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP against JOE BIDEN,
and
DID NOT VOTE FOR PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP against Cackling Karmala Harris.

Mike has a bit of money: he’s contributed $1.2 million for his self-funded run for gov, out of his total of $1.6 million raised thus far.

Meanwhile, the MassGOP also lost its finance director. Now former finance director and former MassGOP chair Jennifer Nassour has departed. She leaves the MassGOP with a whopping $7K in the bank as of Sept. 2025.

But that $7K is just the amount the MassGOP has in its Massachusetts account.
In addition to that, they have $8,576.06 in their Federal Account, however, they also have DEBTS/LOANS OWED BY THE COMMITTEE in the amount of $184,685.36 according to the Federal Election Commission: https://www.fec.gov/data/committee/C00042622/

Nassour (also called “Nikki” Nassour, as she ran the Massachusetts campaign for Trump backstabber Nikki Haley), has gone to work for newly announced Mass. Gov. candidate Mike Minogue.

Nassour will be helping Minogue to raise and spend money.

  1. Might be interesting to see where that $400,000+ was spent. Also wonder what Minogue was thinking in choosing Nassour for his campaign. Not sure I would be trusting her.
