DUST SETTLING: CARR FAILED, ‘WE’RE STILL STANDING,’ AND STRONG

NOTES BETWEEN PRINTED EDITIONS

Team Carr Failed to ‘Exterminate’

by Lonnie Brennan

Radio talk jock Howie Carr, now Palm Beach, Florida-based, tried his best to “exterminate” the “roaches and termites,” – his terms – a.k.a. anyone who didn’t support former Republican Gov. Charlie Baker’s presumed hand-picked current chair of the MassGOP, Amy Carnevale in the big March 5th election to fill seats on the MassGOP State Committee.

Howie Failed.

Carr called himself the terminator, exterminator. The graphic says “sure, Howie, we’ll play along. Uniform looks good on you!”

Sure, Carr landed some punches, knocked around some great patriots such as Maureen Maloney, a Donald J. Trump “Angel Mom” a staunch conservative, but in the end, the bulk of Howie’s targets are still standing. And, those targets for extermination have been joined by many other members, as voters sought to replace nearly half of the committee this cycle.

Non-Carr followers, you know, folks who like voting for candidates such as Geoff Diehl who WON FOUR TIMES in his races for Massachusetts State Rep., despite NO assistance from the MassGOP, and who stuck his neck out for all of us against crazy Liz Warren and dictator Maura Healey (the one stuffing the state will illegals).  Carr did all a guy with a huge microphone can do to derail Diehl at every turn, practically handing the big win to the Democrats time after time after time.

So, let’s start with the good news that you probably already know: This election, we said bye-bye to some members of the Carnevale support team, who chose to abruptly retire (not run for re-election, and their sudden departure could serve as a basis for many columns…just saying…). The largest mass-exodus in memory:

Robin Almgren
Jay Barrows (the screamer)
Brian Burke
Mike Case
Caroline Colarusso
Brock Corderio – (infamous for the Hatfields/McCoys outburst on June 8, 2023)
Patrick Crowley
Angela Davis
Shawn Dooley (Driver licenses for illegal aliens)
Janet Leombruno (we’ll miss your unique facial expressions at meetings!)
Colleen Maloney
Bill McKinney
John Miller
Matt Sisk (the ‘Mayor’)
Susan Smiley
Patrick Stanton
Nancy Stanton-Cross
Kathleen Sullivan-Moran
Jill Ussach
Linday Valanzola
Mike Valanzola

Oh, and open secret: Most of the above skipped a year of their Republican State Committee meetings to protest/destroy the committee during the 2022 election year when their enemy, Jim Lyons was chair.

Bye-bye to all of the above. We wish them the best of luck as two or three are actually nice to chat with.

Now, here are SOME of the candidates Carr failed to block/crush, or who slid in under the Carr terminator’s radar:

1 ANTHONY M. VENTRESCA
2 BETH M. VENETO
3 BRIAN K. GENEST
4 CATHERINE A. UMINA
5 DAVE H. LUNGER
6 DAVID B. CANNATA

8 ELIZABETH S. L. GROOT
9 GABRIEL BOOMER AMARAL
10 GEOFF DIEHL
11 JAMES E. DIXON
12 JAMES R. McMAHON, III
13 JESSICA L. BOLDYGA
14 JOHN JOSEPH SOUSA
15 JOHN T. HASENJAEGER
16 KATHLEEN LYNCH
17 KATHYJO BOSS
18 KAYLA ROSE CHURCHILL
19 LEANNE J. YAROSZ-HARRIS

36

And of course, there are a handful of others  who, well, let’s just leave their alliances in the wind for now (politics).

In theory, if the votes hold (if folks stay true to what they said they would do and vote, this is at best a status-quo (slight lead by Carr/Carnevale) – almost exactly as it was before the election, or it could foretell a gentle drumming that could bring changes to the leadership. Again, just saying…

Should be an interesting ride for the members, new and old, as the arm twisting, gifts, promises, and such spring into action in the short week/s ahead.

Carr, you’re probably still taking a “victory lap” or seventeen, but we don’t know; like most conservatives, real conservatives, we’ve acknowledge your affliction with Jim Lyons syndrome and wish you a rapid recovery from that debilitating disease, or worse… But, for now, we’re going to just give you the leave-alone, turning our dials, streams, podcasts, and Alexas elsewhere for now. Probably a good long leave-alone is in order to provide you with a respectable time to become respectable.

  1. Ten per cent (10%) of voters in the Commie Commonwealth of Massachusetts are registered Republicans. Sixty per cent (60%) are registered as Unenrolled.
In the Massachusetts House of Representatives DemoRATS outnumber Republicans 133 to 24, with 1 member Unenrolled and 2 seats vacant.
In the Massachusetts Senate DemoRATS outnumber Republicans 36 to 4.
Given Massachusetts demographics, and the number of so-called ‘colleges’ and ‘universities’ here pumping out a steady stream of brainwashed robotic Lefties, will the political landscape here ever change?
    The answer is NO.
Do I want to read about absolutely useless and inconsequential Massachusetts Republican Party infighting?
    The answer is NO.
Move on to something worthy of consideration.
